The answer is yes; however, the criterion to assist Ohio Master Masons financially is clearly limited to those over the age of 55. Anyone under 55 can receive help through The Ohio Masonic Communities Resource Center free of charge. The Ohio Masonic Communities Resource Center functions as an information and referral service to anyone who calls. We also have an emergency financial assistance program for those who qualify.
Donors are in complete control of how their gifts are used. When a contribution is received, the donor may choose to say, “I want my gift to benefit Master Masons and their families.” 100% of that gift is used to assist worthy and distressed Master Masons, their wives, widows and families through The Ohio Masonic Communities financial assistance programs.
You have to be an Ohio Master Mason, or their wife, widow or orphan, or an Ohio Eastern Star Member. The Ohio Master Mason must be in good standing for a minimum of five years, which is one of the many reasons that it is so important to keep up on your dues.
We do have non-Masons living on our campuses. While all of our campuses are open to the public, individuals who do not have a Masonic affiliation are not eligible to receive financial assistance from The Ohio Masonic Communities and therefore must qualify financially.
